Sugar-watered Begonia—nature’s autumn gift
Overview
Every August in the Northeast, plums and crabapples mature one after another, the fruits are fragrant in the morning market, and the harvest season of the year is approaching. Every time this season comes, it’s a wonderful thing to make some sweet and sour crabapples, sour and sweet, and feel the breath of autumn!

Ingredients
Steps
-
Choose small begonias with bright red fruits and wash them. Large and green begonias can also be used, but the color is not good-looking.
-
Remove fruit stems and heads.
-
Boil the water in the pot.
-
Place the crabapples in the pot and add an appropriate amount of rock sugar according to your taste. I used four tablespoons of rock sugar, which was a little sweeter.
-
I used yellow rock sugar. You can also add white sugar, but white sugar is highly sweet, so the amount should be reduced.
-
Boil the rock sugar until it melts, then cook for about 3 minutes. Don't cook it for too long.
-
Done! Colorful, sour and sweet.
