Since I got a bread machine with stir-frying function, I use the bread machine to make fillings such as lotus paste and bean paste, which is very convenient. The fried lotus paste filling is wrapped with homemade rose sauce. The smooth lotus paste is filled with the fragrance of roses.   1. Take the required amount of lotus seeds. You can take it according to your needs. I made 7 of this amount. I chose ground Hunan lotus seeds. These lotus seeds are very soft after being boiled, and the fried filling will be very smooth.

  2. Soak the lotus seeds in cold water for about 20 minutes.

  3. Put an appropriate amount of water in a ceramic pot, add lotus seeds, bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to low heat and simmer for 40 minutes. The lotus seeds cooked in this way are very soft. Be sure not to use high fire, which wastes energy and makes it less likely to become tender.

  4. Take out the boiled lotus seeds and put them into a wall breaking machine. Add an appropriate amount of boiled lotus seeds and water and beat into a puree. The wall breaking machine I used made the paste very fine. If not, you can use another food processor to blend.

  5. Pour the beaten lotus seed paste into the bread bucket, add butter, turn on the automatic stir-fry function, and fry for 40 minutes - 1 hour. The specific time depends on the water content of the lotus seed paste. I made it dry and it was ready after frying for 40 minutes.

  6. After 40 minutes, the lotus paste was fried very dry, and you could see that it had formed into a ball in the bread bucket. That's it.

  7. Spread the lotus paste and let it cool, then add honey. The lotus paste must be fried to dryness, otherwise it will be too soft after adding honey and will not be easy to shape.

  8. Mix the honey evenly. I used the blender function to stir for a minute.
