After I got home, I told my mother, and she gave me a slap on my face. Only then did I realize that I had been tricked by my father. He specially picked some roads for me to take that didn't sell barbecue. In fact, the family was really poor at that time and the children were not sensible. After the reform and opening up, my family started small business, which used to be called speculation. Conditions are getting better, but things were different back then. In the summer, barbecue sellers were everywhere. Only in Zichuan County do people set up stalls to sell it. It’s really not worth traveling more than ten miles just to eat some barbecue. What to do, bake it yourself. So when I was a teenager, I started barbecuing on the street. That barbecue is so generous. A large pile of firewood was found, surrounded by bricks, and a bonfire was lit. It burned until only red coals were left without smoke. A wire more than one meter long, good meat that costs a hundred yuan, a big barbecue skewer, a big piece of barbecue, and a big bowl of wine. The seasonings are all ground using a meat grinder. As for the process, all monkeys know how to learn from others, and I didn’t eat so much barbecue for nothing. Gradually, there were barbecue stalls everywhere in the city, so my family also set up stalls in the village selling barbecue and draft beer. Naturally, I would not let a talented person like me go. After school every afternoon, I would finish my homework, barbecue, pour wine, pour water, sweep the floor, wipe the table, wash the dishes, keep accounts, settle accounts... just like a waiter in a shop. Business is booming. I remember that the price of barbecue at that time had reached 3 skewers for one dollar.
