open sandwich
Overview
The world-famous open sandwich first became popular in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, in the 19th century. It is a traditional lunch for the Danes. Although it is called a sandwich, it is actually much more colorful than a sandwich. Rich sauces and a variety of toppings. Making it at home can be more casual. The cheese slices I used as the base today also have a unique flavor.
