Fragrant chestnut cookies
Last night, when I picked up my children from school, I ran into an old man selling Dongshan chestnuts from Suzhou. The children were clamoring for some, so I asked the price. They said ten yuan a pound, okay, buy a pound. I woke up this morning and cooked some for breakfast. The cooked chestnuts were very sweet. There was still some cooked chestnuts left after eating, so I simply peeled some and grated them into puree. I made a few small biscuits. They tasted good.
