The period after the festival is spent digesting all the remaining New Year’s goods at home. I came home today and found a lot of dried radishes and a small piece of celery. Just in time to make fried bacon with dried radish. Northerners may not be able to make this dish as authentic as it is made, but Hua'er has always liked eating bacon and keeps some at home.
