Steps

  1. Rinse the frozen chestnuts with water. (Fresh chestnuts are better.)

  2. Put the chestnuts into a small pot, pour in water that covers the chestnuts, bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low heat and simmer for 40 minutes.

  3. Boiled chestnuts can be easily pierced with chopsticks.

  4. Crush the chestnuts into powder using a mesh sieve. (You can also use a food processor to add water and stir. This method has a lot of water and needs to be stir-fried to dry up the water.)

  7. Dissolve in microwave or hot water.
