Overview

Edamame, also known as vegetable soybeans, is called edamame (えだまめ) in Japan. It is a vegetable soybean among the soybean crops that is specially used for eating fresh pods. Edamame is fresh soybeans with pods in them. It can expel evil spirits, relieve pain and eliminate edema. It can remove stomach heat, relieve blood stasis, and detoxify drugs. Eating too much will cause the spleen to slip. And because there are hairs on its pods, it is called edamame.

  1. First wash the newly bought edamame!

The amount of water should be arbitrary but it should cover the edamame. Then put the bay leaves, star anise, Sichuan peppercorns, cumin, and salt into the large pot! If you don’t like the spices here, you can leave them out! ! !

  4. First bring the water to a boil over high heat, then switch to low heat and simmer for about 5-10 minutes. Turn off the heat. Do not take it out immediately after turning off the heat. Cover the pot and simmer for a while to completely simmer the edamame. This will make the edamame very tasty. You can simmer for as long as you like, as long as it is fully cooked!
