It’s New Year, let’s make nougat together. This time I made a marshmallow version of nougat, which is simple and convenient. I used two methods to make it, the pan and the bread machine version, both are very convenient and worth trying. Finally, it also comes with nougat recipes for several of my favorite flavors, don’t miss it. The tools, raw materials and packaging are all from Zhanyi, and they are all very good. Especially the plastic shaping tools, the nougat plate and the rolling pin. Mom no longer has to worry about me not being able to shape the nougat well.

Prepare all raw materials and tools, packaging.

Heat a non-stick pan over low heat, add chopped peanuts and black sesame seeds, stir-fry until fragrant, pour out and set aside.

Pour the butter into a non-stick pan and heat over low heat until it melts into a liquid.

Add the marshmallows and toss briefly to coat each marshmallow with butter. Then use a spatula to stir continuously to prevent the marshmallows from burning. Remember, the heat must be low.

After the butter and marshmallows are completely mixed, you can continue to stir-fry for another minute to make the nougat more chewy.

Add milk powder and mix them well.

Pour in the peanuts and use a spatula to quickly mix them in.

Be fast. If the weather is hotter, you can turn off the heat at this step.

The mixed nougat is moved to Zhanyi's silicone nougat plate. Wait for a while until the nougat is no longer hot to your hands, then put on gloves and fold them randomly a few times.

The folded nougat tastes better. After folding, place them in the nougat plate. After roughly pressing them, use a rolling pin to flatten them.

After it has cooled to room temperature, start cutting the sugar. Cut into long strips first, then into small pieces. Use the knife to cut back and forth, and the cut surface will be neater.

Cut into pieces, this is cocoa-flavored peanut nougat.

The last step is to wrap it with sugar. First wrap it with a layer of glutinous rice paper, and then wrap it with sugar paper. It will look beautiful.

Next make the bread machine version of nougat.

Turn on the stir-fry mode of the bread machine, cut the butter into cubes and pour it in. The whole process takes about 30 minutes.

Heat until butter melts into liquid.

Add the marshmallows and continue to mix with the mixing knife of the bread machine until the surface of each marshmallow is covered with butter.

After the butter and marshmallows are completely mixed, you can continue to stir-fry the bread machine for another minute, so that the nougat obtained will be stronger

Mix the milk powder and matcha powder evenly and add them to the cotton paste.

Pour in the cranberries and continue mixing in the bread machine.

The mixed nougat is moved to Zhanyi's silicone nougat plate. The subsequent steps are the same as the pan version above.
