Candied Kumquats

Overview

I make it many times every winter. It’s sweet and fragrant, and you’ll feel a little refreshed after drinking it. My sister-in-law, who is breastfeeding, said she was tired of drinking boiled water. In addition, there are elders in the family who often cough, so I prepared this for them. They all said it tastes good~

Steps

  1. Soak kumquats in salt water for twenty minutes, cut in half and remove the core

  2. Add rock sugar, granulated sugar, kumquats, water (cover the kumquats), bring to a boil over high heat and simmer over low heat, stirring constantly with chopsticks to prevent the pot from sticking. When it becomes thick, squeeze in lemon juice

  3. You can use chopsticks to press the kumquats. When they are soft and sticky, you can scoop them out, let them cool and keep them sealed~
