Sanquan glutinous rice balls are set aside.

Wash the lotus root, peel, slice and set aside.

Wash the red dates and set aside.

Wash the longan, remove the shell and set aside.

Pour appropriate amount of water into the pot, add lotus root, red dates and longan.

Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium to low heat and simmer for about ten minutes.
