Pumpkin hair cake
Overview
I can’t wait to share it with you all - Pumpkin and Red Date Hair Cake. I’m so excited that I want to jump up! The soft texture is just right, with the mixed aroma of jujube and pumpkin. It is suitable for babies to eat directly or as a snack. Moreover, the fermented pasta is easy to digest and does not burden the baby's stomach.

Wash the jujubes and soak them in water in advance. Make sure they are soft. Use a spoon to press the steamed diced pumpkin into a fine pumpkin puree, let it cool for a while and set aside (if it is too hot and the yeast is added next, it will probably directly kill the yeast and become ineffective).
-
Pour a little milk (either formula milk or water) into the pumpkin puree, then sprinkle in about 2 grams of yeast, stir evenly, and let the yeast fully dissolve.
-
Pour in the flour several times and stir evenly. The batter will become thicker and thicker. 5. Here comes the point! ! It must feel like the picture in my picture. It is a shaped dough, but when you touch it with your hands, it is sticky and very elastic. It can be stretched into long strands, but it is not a smooth dough. This is the form of hair cake that I think has the best taste! !
-
Find a suitable mold (a mold that can be steamed directly in the pot in one step), brush it with a layer of oil (the purpose of brushing oil is to facilitate steaming and easy demolding), and put the dough in. Cover with plastic wrap and place on the balcony or a warm place (or like me, I like to use the oven to ferment every time). It must ferment until it doubles in size.
-
The fat fermented dough has a particularly sticky feel! Arrange the dates evenly. Pour cold water into the steamer, put the mold into the steamer, cover and steam for 40 minutes, simmer for 3-5 minutes and let cool. Because the mold was previously oiled, it was particularly easy to remove from the mold. Cut into appropriately sized pieces and enjoy together.
