Honey grapefruit tea
Overview
The first time I drank honey grapefruit tea was when I was studying in college in Hainan. There was a promotion in the mall, and the promoter handed me a cup for free to taste. I still can’t forget the taste. Later, I loved to order honey grapefruit tea when I drank drinks, but I can’t taste the same taste anymore

Ingredients
Steps
-
Prepare the ingredients, grapefruit, honey, and rock sugar. The heavier the grapefruit, the better. I used rock sugar
-
Soak the grapefruit in hot water for about 10 minutes
-
Rub the grapefruit peel carefully with a spoonful of salt to reduce the bitterness and have a sterilizing effect
-
Peel the grapefruit, take out the skin, and use a knife to scrape off the white layer attached to the skin. The cleaner the scraping, the better, because the white layer will be very bitter. (This is a time-consuming, labor-intensive and careful process)
-
Cut the skin into shreds, the finer the better, then break up the pulp
-
Put the rock sugar into a pot and boil it
-
First put the grapefruit peel into the boiled rock sugar and cook
-
After cooking for about ten minutes, the grapefruit peel will become somewhat transparent
-
Add the pulp and cook together
-
After cooking for more than half an hour, it looked like this. The white flesh turned yellow (boil it over high heat first, then simmer over low heat)
-
Let cool, stir in honey, jar and refrigerate
-
When you want to drink, just take a spoonful and add warm water to soak
