Cut the beef tenderloin lengthwise into thin slices of about 1cm.

Add the meat slices to the light soy sauce, sugar, and black pepper and stir evenly.

Seal with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator to marinate for 2 hours.

Line a baking sheet with tin foil, place the meat slices on the grill rack, and move to the middle rack of the oven.
