If it is a good donkey-hide gelatin block, you can tell from the appearance that its corners are light-emitting. Then you smash it into pieces. The texture of each piece is very clear, and the corners will still be light-emitting.

Choose a larger soup pot, take 500 grams of donkey-hide gelatin cubes, and then add 500 ml of rice wine. What I choose here is the rice wine with watery aroma and national color, because I like to drink this rice wine. Well, you can choose other brands. As long as it is, um, oral grade, it will be ok even if it is not for cooking.

This step is to put the rice wine and donkey-hide gelatin pieces together and leave them like this. They must be placed in a soup pot without seams. In the picture I took, it looked like I had soaked it for ten hours, and the effect was almost half gone. Well, until it's all melted and then, you can move on to the next step. Generally speaking, it takes about two or three days. If you control the heat more accurately, you can heat it directly without this step, but otherwise it will be easier to cause problems and waste it.

One of the ingredients to prepare is 500 grams of black sesame seeds. What I prepared here are cooked black sesame seeds. If you buy raw black sesame seeds, remember to heat them in a pan to make them easy to cook.

The second preparation material is walnut kernels. The ones I bought here are old walnuts. Well, don’t buy the thin-skinned walnuts, which have little nutritional value. You must buy the kind that looks uglier, and the old walnuts are better. Then when you open it, this one is also raw. If you have a non-stick baking pan used in ovens at home, you can directly grease the baking pan with a layer of oil, and then put the prepared donkey-hide gelatin cake directly into it. If not, any pot will do, but if so, you need to add plastic wrap, and then apply a layer of oil on the plastic wrap so that it won't stick to the bottom and won't be wasted.

It's time to clean up the mess. If you use better donkey-hide gelatin blocks, you can soak the pot in cold water and then basically don't need to wash it. It will be very clean after just rinsing it.
