Love Haw Cake
Overview
Every year when hawthorns are ripe, I buy some to make hawthorn cakes for my children. Because there are no additives, they are safe to eat. They taste sour and sweet, and they are good for appetizing and digesting. It is endless fun to make it yourself~

Ingredients
Steps
-
Weigh 500G of fresh hawthorn.
-
After washing, remove the stem and core.
-
Add 200g water and bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.
-
Strain the cooked hawthorn and crush it into a puree.
-
Add 250g of rock sugar to water and boil until it turns yellow and becomes thick.
-
Pour the boiled hawthorn into the syrup and stir until completely combined.
-
Pour it into a crisper, shake it hard a few times to make the surface smooth, and put it in the refrigerator to refrigerate. I made it at night, and it turned into hawthorn cake the next morning.
-
Cut it into pieces in the morning, and the sweet and sour hawthorn cake is ready😊.
