Steps
-
You should choose yellow peaches that are unevenly colored. If they all look the same color, they may be dyed. After buying it, soak it for two hours, changing the water several times during this period.
-
Wash the hawthorn, remove the core and stems.
-
Put water in the pot, add rock sugar, wait until the rock sugar melts, and bring to a boil over high heat.
-
When the water boils, put the hawthorn with the core removed into the water and boil for about 5 minutes.
-
Float the hawthorns and add the peaches.
-
You need to stir it from time to time during the process, because the polycrystalline rock sugar used has cotton thread inside, so you need to use chopsticks to pick it out. Single crystal rock sugar will also work, or if you don’t have rock sugar, you can use white sugar.
-
While the peaches are being cooked, scald the bottle containing the peaches with boiling water and the lid as well. It is better to put the pot directly into the pot if it is large enough.
-
When you see small white bubbles appear on the water, just cook for another two minutes and turn off the heat.
-
Be sure to put it into the bottle while it's hot, and close the lid immediately after filling.
-
You can eat it after it cools down. If you can’t finish it, you can put it in the refrigerator, but you should finish it as soon as possible after opening the lid!
