Peanut Cranberry Handmade Nougat Made in Cast Iron Pot
Overview
Sugar is our best placebo. When you cried for unknown reasons as a child, a candy will always comfort you appropriately. It is simple and magical. When you face all kinds of unsatisfactory fatigue and loss as an adult, a piece of chocolate will also stimulate your energy and sweep away your depression, even if it is just for a moment. This is the wonder of sugar. At the beginning of this new year, you may still be sad about the past, or you may be full of fighting spirit for the future, but you all need the comfort and encouragement of candy... Come on, let us make a pot of sweet and fragrant nougat together to give us strength and save ourselves from depression.

Steps
-
Preheat the enamel pot for two minutes, pour in the peanuts and spread them flat, cover the pot, and simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes. Listen to the banging sound in the pot, uncover the pot, and stir. The peanuts are cooked. Let cool, peel and set aside (or buy cooked peanuts directly as a substitute).
-
Apply a thick layer of butter to the inner wall of the enamel pot, then put the remaining butter into the pot and heat over low heat until it melts.
-
Then pour in the marshmallows, stir over low heat with a special enamel spatula made by Yichu, until they are completely melted and the volume becomes significantly smaller (the air in the marshmallows is discharged)
-
Pour in the milk powder in portions and stir vigorously until all the milk powder is added and stirred evenly, then turn off the heat.
-
Quickly add the peeled peanuts and dried cranberries, and mix vigorously. (Remember to use very hard, otherwise it will stick to the pan)
-
Pour it into a non-stick baking pan while it's hot and quickly flatten it with a spatula. (You can make various shapes directly with your hands)
-
Let it cool until it is still slightly warm and soft, use a scraper to help take it out, place it upside down on the chopping board, put on disposable gloves, sort out the shape a little, and cut it into small pieces with a knife.
-
Just wrap it in colorful candy wrappers.
