Ingredients
Steps
-
Clean the hawthorns and apples, core them and cut them into pieces.
-
Add a little water and put it in a food processor to make a paste.
-
Beat it all into a paste and pour it into the soup pot.
-
Add rock sugar and simmer slowly over low heat.
-
Stir constantly, add half a teaspoon of salt, two teaspoons of lemon juice, and continue stirring.
-
Stir until it is extremely thick, bubbling and splashing, turn off the heat, and spread the jam paste evenly on a baking sheet lined with tin foil, making it slightly thicker, about seven or eight millimeters.
-
Place in the middle rack of the oven at 180 degrees for an hour.
-
If there are any big bubbles during baking, use a bamboo skewer to pop them. Take them out when the water has almost evaporated.
-
Take it out and place it in a ventilated place to dry.
-
After drying, cut into strips and stack them, then cut into pieces or roll into hawthorn rolls and you’re ready to eat!
