Overview
The so-called kousu is similar to the dumplings in the north, except that dumplings are usually steamed, while kousu is fried, and the fillings inside are also different. Fry and mash peanuts and sesame seeds, and mix them with sugar to form the filling; mix water with flour, add a little meat oil, and knead into a dough. Take a small ball, flatten it with a rolling pin, spread it flat on your hands, place the filling in it, and pinch the dough to close it into a chicken crown. After kneading them one by one, put them into the oil pan and fry them in batches until they are cooked. The heat must be controlled carefully, and the crispy, fragrant and sweet cakes will be ready.
