Fish and chips ~ a popular fast food snack in North America
Overview
Fish and chips are one of the most popular fast food dishes in North America. The boneless fish is wrapped in batter and bread crumbs, fried until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, then topped with salad dressing. The French fries are crispy and delicious and served with tomato sauce and greens. What you make yourself is more hygienic, affordable, and convenient than what you make outside.

Wash and peel the potatoes. If you don’t have big potatoes at home, use small potatoes instead. The method is the same

Cut into thin strips

Add water and cook (cook until the potatoes can be cut with chopsticks)

Drain the water and let dry

Place the cooled potato strips in the refrigerator until hard

Take out the Longli fish and defrost it in advance

Cut into small pieces

Dip the fish into the flour with a layer of flour

Then add a layer of egg liquid to the beaten eggs

Finally, wrap a layer of bread crumbs on the bread crumbs

Repeat this process for each block

Put oil in the pot and heat until 70% hot

Fry the fish pieces over medium heat

When one side is cooked, turn over and fry the other side (the bread crumbs I used are coarse grain bread crumbs, so you can’t see the change in color. If you use ordinary bread crumbs, fry one side until golden brown and you can flip it over)

Place the fried fish pieces on kitchen paper to absorb the oil

Repeat this process until all fish pieces are fried.

Take out the frozen French fries

Pour some more oil into the fryer, heat it up and add the French fries

Fry the fries until golden brown and remove the oil (those who like crispy fries can re-fry the fries now, but for health reasons I will not fry them)

Place the fish pieces and chips on a plate, sprinkle with salt according to taste, top with salad dressing and tomato sauce, and finally put the vegetables on top.
