  1. Mix the starter ingredients, stir evenly, and knead into a dough (just mix the dough evenly, no need to over-knead), then take it out of the refrigerator and refrigerate it for about 12 hours (you can mix the starter part at night and refrigerate it until the next day). Pour the flour, fine sugar, milk, and starter into the mixing barrel of the bread machine. Start the dough mixing program for 15 minutes. At the end of the dough, the dough will be smooth and powder-free. Add the softened butter cut into small pieces and continue to start the dough mixing program for 15 minutes

  2. After kneading, check the dough. If you can pull away the glove film (I didn’t take a picture of this step, I believe friends who have made bread know this step, but I rarely knead the dough to the complete stage. As long as the dough is stretched and elastic, it is OK), then cover the bread machine lid and ferment until it is 2.5 times in size

  3. The fermented dough is OK if you poke a small hole in the middle and it does not shrink back easily. Take out the dough and deflate it, divide it into 12 small portions, roll them into balls, cover them with plastic wrap and let them rest for 20 minutes

  4. Take a piece of dough that has risen and roll it into an oval shape. Sprinkle coconut milk in the middle

  7. After all the other dough is made, place it on a baking sheet lined with oil paper and continue to ferment for about 50 minutes (the time depends on the weather. In summer, it takes about 40 minutes to ferment to double the size. In winter, the time needs to be longer. You can use the fermentation function of the oven and put a plate of warm water at the bottom of the oven to speed up fermentation)

  8. While fermentation is taking place, take a small container and pour an appropriate amount of coconut milk, add the amount of sugar you like, and mix well

After the dough is fermented, evenly pour the pre-mixed coconut milk on the surface, sprinkle with some grated coconut, preheat the oven to 150 degrees, bake the middle layer for about 15-20 minutes, take it out and let it cool before eating (the temperature should be adjusted according to the temperament of your own oven, the temperature of my oven is on the high side)
