baguette
Overview
This is my first time trying French baguette, and I especially like its crispy and chewy texture. There are only four ingredients, flour, salt, yeast and water. The simple ingredients make it very fragrant and rich in flavor. The next day, I slice the baguette and bake garlic bread slices. It is a quick and delicious breakfast that can be prepared in ten minutes. This is a good choice for us office workers, especially those who have to get up early to make breakfast and send their children to school.

Knead all the ingredients into a ball with a smooth surface, cover with plastic wrap, and ferment for the first time for 90 minutes;

Take out the dough and fold the dough in half;

Then fold it in half up and down;

After the dough is placed in the container, cover it with plastic wrap, refrigerate it for 4 hours, take it out and let it warm for 1 hour;

Divide the dough into three parts and shape into an olive shape;

Place in baguette mold and rest for 20 minutes for final fermentation;

Let it ferment for 40 minutes until it has doubled in size again. Use a sharp blade to cut 5 diagonal slits on the surface of the dough;
-
Spray water on the surface of the dough;
-
Sift flour on the surface of the dough;
-
Preheat the oven to 220 degrees, heat the middle rack up and down, and bake for 25 minutes;

Once the bread is colored, take it out of the oven and let it cool. (I forgot to take a photo during the first challenge. This was taken during the second time)
