Shrimp and Watermelon Cup

  1. Prepare the main ingredients, 8 large shrimps and a relatively slender watermelon. (I couldn’t buy the long and thin ones today, so I bought 3 of these water melons)

  2. Peel and wash the melon, cut it into 8 small finger-length pieces, and use a knife to dig out a hole without digging through.

  3. Remove the heads and shells of the prawns, keep the shells on the tails of the prawns, make a slit in the middle of the back, and remove the intestines.

  4. Insert the shrimp tail toward the middle opening, add watermelon, with the shrimp tail facing up.

  5. Add 1 spoon of oil, appropriate amount of salt, chopped red pepper, 1 spoon of minced garlic, half a spoon of sugar, and 1 spoon of steamed fish drum oil into the bowl and mix well to form a fragrant sauce.

  6. Put watermelon and aromatic juice into a plate. It's best to put the juice and melon separately.

  7. Pour water into the pot and bring to a boil, add water melon and juice, steam over high heat for 8 minutes.

  8. When the finished product is out of the pot, pour the juice on top of the melon to finish.

  9. Finished product. (Tips: Do not steam water melon for too long, as this will affect the tenderness and texture of the shrimp. If steamed for too long, water melon will not stand up)
