Sweet potato syrup
Overview
The simplest is the most delicious, except for the delicious sugar water; [Memories] are unforgettable. People in Guangdong call it ‘sweet potato’, and people in Shanghai call it ‘sweet potato or sweet potato’. When I was a child, I especially liked to drink this sugary drink, which is made by boiling sweet potatoes and water and then heating it up. Since sweet potatoes are available in Malaysia all year round, they can be made at any time, but it is different in China. Many ingredients are seasonal. If you particularly want to eat dishes made with certain ingredients, you can only eat them when the season comes. Sweet potato syrup is very simple to make, so when we were young, my mother liked to make this syrup and simmer it for a while before eating it. We also grew it in our hometown, so we drank sweet potato syrup every now and then. I don’t know when I started drinking almost nothing, until now. I went to the market and saw that it was in season, so I bought some. When I bought it, I already missed the taste of sweet potato syrup when I was a child.

Wash the sweet potatoes, peel them, and cut them into cubes; flatten the ginger with a knife.

Put the cut sweet potatoes into the rice cooker.
