Air fryer version of grilled rice balls
Overview
Soy sauce fried rice that was eaten by those born in the 60s and 70s when they were young, right? I really like to eat it, and at that time I thought it was a delicacy in the world! Now I don’t make any special efforts to eat it. Is it because I eat too much? Or is it because I forgot? There are two reasons! Let’s bake light soy rice balls in a fryer today! Relive the taste of the past!

Ingredients
Steps
-
I used leftover rice and heated it in the microwave.
-
You can use ready-made sushi vinegar. I mixed it myself. The ratio of salt, sugar and white vinegar is 1:5:10. Mix it over water and heat until the salt and sugar melt.
-
Add the prepared sushi vinegar to the still warm rice, put on disposable gloves and knead the rice until the rice is sticky, and use a mold to compact the rice ball.
-
Brush the surface of the rice ball with oil, then roll it in the light soy sauce so that the rice ball is evenly coated with the light soy sauce. Place it in the air fryer at 180 degrees for 15 minutes, then flip it over and bake for about 10 minutes. You can set the time and decide how hard or soft the roast is.
-
The finished product is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, like eating glutinous rice cakes with a hint of light soy sauce, a bit like going back to your childhood😄
