【Walnut Crispy Cake】---Make the crispy cake until the end
Overview
I particularly like biscuits because they are relatively simple to make. Among the many varieties, shortbread is the easiest for me, and there is basically no failure. The walnut shortbread made this time is not only decorated with walnuts on the surface, but also adds freshly ground walnut powder to the raw materials, which improves both the texture and taste. In fact, in addition to walnut powder, you can also add sesame powder, peanut powder, almond powder...etc. This recipe is the first biscuit recipe that I remember in my mind. It is definitely worth collecting. I recommend that novice friends who love baking must try it.

Ingredients
Steps
-
First spread half of the flour (55g) in a baking pan, bake at 160 degrees for about 15 minutes, let cool and set aside.
-
Prepare 30 grams of walnut kernels.
-
Grind the walnuts in a food processor.
-
Mix all the flour, baking powder, baking soda, powdered sugar, and brown sugar together and sift into a bowl. (Brown sugar must be crushed into large particles with tools in advance)
-
Add salt and oil.
-
Use your hands to knead into even, loose particles. (I ran out of disposable gloves, so I mixed it with chopsticks. When comparing the finished product, there was not much difference)
-
Add the eggs and mix well, stirring to combine.
-
Form into dough, wrap in plastic wrap, and let rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes. (Just form the dough into a ball, don’t knead it too much)
-
Divide the dough into approximately 20 or 25 grams each, knead into balls and place on a baking sheet. (The one about 20 grams can make 16 pieces, and the one about 25 grams can make 12 pieces)
-
Use your thumb to press in the middle.
-
Garnish with walnuts.
-
Place in the preheated oven at 150 degrees and bake for about 15 minutes, then turn off the heat and simmer for another 10 minutes before taking it out of the oven.
