Peanut Sesame Nougat
Overview
When the weather gets cold, I can't help but want to eat nougat. I think that the nougat that I have always loved when I was a child can be made with my own hands. It feels very fulfilling. It is a very good choice to give to relatives and friends during the New Year. I used a professional nougat mold to cut it out evenly and look better. There are many flavors of nougat, but my favorite is the original flavor. With the addition of peanuts and sesame, it leaves a fragrance on your lips and teeth. It’s so delicious that you can’t stop eating it.

Prepare materials

If you like the grainy texture of peanuts, you can skip this step. If you want to eat them more chopped, put the cooked peanuts in a plastic bag and use a rolling pin to roll them. If you only have raw peanuts at home, you can use the stir-fry function of the bread machine to fry the peanuts until fragrant and remove the red skin.
-
Turn on the stir-fry function. The program of my bread machine lasts for 45 minutes in total. The first 15 minutes are heating and the next 30 minutes are stir-frying. After 12 minutes, add butter and use the temperature of the bread machine to melt the butter.
-
After the butter melts, add marshmallows before the bread machine starts frying.
-
The stir-fry function of the bread machine allows the marshmallows to completely blend with the butter. If you like the marshmallows chewy, you can stir-fry for 1-2 minutes longer.
-
Pour in the milk powder and continue to stir-fry.
-
After the marshmallows and milk powder are mixed, add the crushed peanuts. If the edges of the peanuts are not sticky, you can use the power of a spatula to completely blend the peanuts with the nougat.
-
.Pour in the cooked black sesame seeds and continue to stir-fry until evenly mixed.
-
End the stir-frying function of the bread machine
-
Wearing gloves, take out the nougat dough and place it into the nougat mold.
-
Place the matching silicone pad on it, gently push the sugar mass in the middle to ensure that there is nougat on the edge, and then use the rolling pin in the mold to push it flat to make it even and even on all sides, then put it in the refrigerator for one hour.
-
Take out the flat nougat-specific nougat ruler and cut into thin strips of even size.
-
Cut into small pieces of uniform length.
-
Wrap it in glutinous rice paper and your favorite candy wrapper, and you're done. Add it to a cute packaging box, and it's a great gift.
