I missed the snack oil daddy in my hometown, so I decided to make this for breakfast. I made a breakfast in September and thought it was pretty good.

  1. Soak the glutinous rice and mung beans in water the night before and steam them in the morning.

  2. After the mung beans are steamed, mash them.

  3. After steaming, put the glutinous rice into a plastic bag and roll it back and forth with a rolling pin. It's good to still see some glutinous rice grains. This will make the glutinous rice cakes more textured. Apply some cooking oil on the mat, knead the rolled glutinous rice dough into long strips, cut it into sections, roll it into a round shape, and press it into a cake shape. Wrap the mung bean puree in the middle and press it into a cake shape. Heat the oil, fry the pancake until slightly brown, remove from the pan, drain the oil and cool slightly before eating.
