Red bean and honeysuckle porridge
Overview
I have been suffering from internal heat after eating hot food for the past few days, so I cooked a pot of red bean and honeysuckle porridge this morning. Honeysuckle has been known as a good medicine for clearing away heat and detoxifying since ancient times. It has antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and immune system regulating effects. Red beans have the effects of diluting water, reducing swelling, diuresis, strengthening the spleen and stopping diarrhea. They are rich in iron and can make people look rosy. Eating more red beans can also replenish blood, promote blood circulation, strengthen physical strength, and enhance resistance. All effects are significant.
