Delicious and authentic handmade glutinous rice balls
Overview
The Lantern Festival is here, and in my hometown there is a custom of eating peanut and sesame glutinous rice balls. Now that I am away from home, I can’t buy fresh glutinous rice balls. I just want to make up for the Lantern Festival for myself, so I decided to make the simplest handmade glutinous rice balls.

Since I forgot to take a picture of the process of making glutinous rice flour and dough, I will replace it with a picture of me using flour to make noodles. Please ignore the eggs.
-
After the glutinous rice flour is kneaded into a ball, use your hands to roll it into several uniformly sized balls. Because there are no ready-made sesame seeds and peanuts, there is no filling.
-
After the water boils, add sliced ginger and brown sugar. At the same time, pour the rolled balls into the water. Cook for about ten minutes until they are cooked. Turn off the heat.

Dang dang dang, the smooth and delicate pink and white glutinous rice dumplings are ready. They are delicious and have the taste of hometown.
