Fruit peel
Overview
Now is a good season for hawthorns, and they are sold everywhere at fruit stalls. I saw a lot of people buying it some time ago, and I joined in the fun and bought some. However, after I took a bite, it was so sour that I never took a second bite, so I put it in the refrigerator and didn't touch it for several days. Then I thought about it and couldn’t waste it. I had to find a way to dispose of it, so I thought of the fruit pomelo peel that I loved to eat as a child. The sweet and sour taste is very appetizing. In fact, hawthorn has very high nutritional value and can also be used as medicine. It can be eaten raw or cooked, and can also be processed into various sweet and sour snacks such as hawthorn cake, fruit peel, hawthorn slices, and candied haws. Removing the core of hawthorn is a relatively time-consuming task. I learned this trick from Douchin Wan Shanhong. It is very easy to use. I would like to express my gratitude! If you like it, you can try it O(∩_∩)O~

Ingredients
Steps
-
Wash the hawthorn with clean water and take it out
-
Use the pen cap to press the mark on the head and tail of the hawthorn
-
Then use chopsticks to push the core out hard
-
If it doesn’t come out clean at one time, you can push it a few more times until all the cores come out
-
Break the hawthorns into a plate, steam them in a steamer over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes
-
Steam until soft and then take out
-
Put it in a blender and puree
-
Then pour it into a non-stick pan, add crushed rock sugar and stir-fry
-
Fry for about 8 minutes until it becomes thicker
-
Pour it into a non-stick baking pan and smooth it out with a spatula to a thickness of about 3~4mm. Lightly cover the baking pan with tinfoil or greaseproof paper to prevent dust, and leave it for about 3 days
-
After drying, the surface is a little hard when pressed with your hands and does not stick to your hands, so you can gently open it from one corner and remove it
-
Cut into cubes of the size you like and roll them up
-
Then wrap it in plastic wrap and make it look like candy!
