Shrimp and Nut Salad

Shrimp and Nut Salad

Overview

When I was twelve years old, I entered the middle school. On September 1 of that year, I left my mother's arms for the first time, took my luggage to the school for accommodation, and began to learn to grow independently... For me who missed home very much, there were many nights when the sheets were soaked with tears, but because the teacher inspected the dormitory every night, I never dared to cry loudly. I just cried quietly under the quilt. My eyes were swollen, my nose was swollen, I had no strength, and then I fell asleep... Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday... finally, Saturday arrived. What a happy day. I always get up early in the morning to pack the things I want to take home. As soon as I finish the last class in the morning, I rush home. How light my footsteps are and how happy my mood is! Because I miss home so much, I miss my parents so much... After staying at home for one night, I open my eyes and it's Sunday. I have to go back to school in the afternoon. It always starts at noon, and I feel panicked. At one o'clock, two o'clock, three o'clock, and four o'clock, I finally can't wait any longer, so I leave the house with tears. My mother always sends me to the creek at the entrance of the village, and then repeats her words earnestly, telling me to take care of myself. After a hug, I reluctantly wave to my mother. In fact, I was ignorant at that time and really didn’t understand what taking care of my health meant. Nowadays, I have become a mother of children, and I have already understood what is good health and what is taking care of.
