Water chestnut cake

Almost every time I go for morning tea, I order a water chestnut cake. This time I bought the ingredients and tried it.

Prepare all materials;

Pour 250g or half of the water into the water chestnut powder and stir into a pulp;

Chop the water chestnuts into pieces and set aside;

Open a pot, boil the remaining half of the water, add brown sugar and cook to make brown sugar water;

Pour the chopped water chestnuts into the brown sugar water; (can also be added to the water chestnut powder pulp)

Then turn down the heat to low, continue to add a spoonful of water chestnut powder into the pulp, stir and cook until the pulp is cooked (it will look a little sticky);

After turning off the heat, pour the freshly cooked brown sugar syrup into the remaining raw water chestnut flour syrup, and stir evenly while pouring;

Open the pot, pour in the raw and cooked slurry, and steam over high heat for 20 minutes;

After steaming, the water chestnut cake becomes translucent;

Cut into pieces and serve.
