Low sugar sweet potato peel

Be sure to prepare some delicious and healthy snacks for your children during the Chinese New Year. Children all love to eat fruit peel, which is sweet and sour and is good for stomach and digestion. I don’t feel at ease buying it for my children to eat. I’m worried about the sugar content being too high if it’s made according to the traditional method. Generally, the sugar content cannot be less than 70% before it can solidify naturally. I happened to have Tangxiaoduo zero-calorie sugar, so I used it to make this low-sugar fruit peel. The taste is still sweet and sour, and the texture is chewy and delicious. Zero calorie sugar, a combination of various natural sweetness, does not raise blood sugar, does not gain weight, does not cause tooth decay, resists glycation, is safe and healthy, and the whole family can eat it with confidence!

Remove the core from the hawthorn.

Soak the gelatine sheets in ice water about 20 minutes in advance until soft.

Then melt the gelatine sheets with warm water of about 50 degrees. You don’t need much water, just enough to melt the gelatine sheets. I used about 50 grams. The water temperature should not be too high, otherwise it will affect the coagulation effect.

Let the hawthorn mud cool to below 50 degrees, and then put it together with gelatine water.

Spread flatly on the oil paper, the thickness is about 2 mm, leave it for half a day, let it dry naturally and solidify until it can be removed.

Tear off the oil paper, place it on a baking sheet and continue to air dry naturally for one day. It will dry to a semi-dry state and the size will shrink a bit.
