Kumquat preserves
Overview
I had a cough for several days and even stopped baking for several days. If you want to eat delicious food, you still have to solve your throat problem. Just in time, the child’s godmother brought another big bag of kumquats, and she thought about making candied kumquats. The sugar water can also be used to soothe your throat

Wash kumquats with light salt water and drain

Use a knife to cut a small cross on both ends

Pour rock sugar into a clean and oil-free pot

Pour in water and start boiling
-
Until the sugar is completely melted
-
Pour in the kumquats, cover with a lid and bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes

Until it appears translucent, the kumquat peel will be concave against the core. Turn off the heat, cover the lid and let it soak for 6-8 hours

It is crystal clear and tastes very good. The boiled water can be put into a clean container. When drinking, mix it with some warm water to moisten your throat
