Plum Blossom Crisps

This is the portion that makes ten pieces. The photo I made is of 20 pieces. You can also use lotus seed paste as the filling!

Put the mooncake powder, warm water and lard into a basin and knead into a smooth dough

Knead the mooncake powder and lard into dough

Wrap the dough and pastry in plastic wrap and leave for about 30 minutes

Divide the filling, dough and pastry into 10 portions

Wrap the pastry with oil skin

Flatten and roll it out into a long strip

Flatten again and roll into long strips

Flatten both ends of the strip toward the middle

Roll into round shape

Wrap with fillings

Press into a round shape

Use a knife to cut the petals into five equal petals

Pinch each corner toward the middle

Use a toothpick to press into the petal shape

Prepared plum blossoms

Brush with a layer of egg yolk

Garnish with cooked sesame seeds in the middle of the plum blossoms

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees for 5 minutes and bake for 30 minutes
