  1. Wash the killed chicken, put a little salt on it and marinate it for about half an hour

  2. Cut the ginger into shreds and American ginseng into slices (you can also buy sliced American ginseng at the drug store) and set aside

  3. Put the marinated rooster into the steamer, sprinkle with shredded ginger, American ginseng, and a few knotted green onions and steam for about 25 minutes. Remember to steam the rooster and do not put any water in the bowl!
