I also had a meal with friends in the evening, so it had to be fermented at room temperature, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to get back in time! There should be some milk added to the purple sweet potato puree. It is a bit dry and the coating is not very even. This time I wrapped a layer of tinfoil on the outside of the bread barrel, and it looked much better. The crust at the bottom was also very thin, golden in color, and super soft. I was quite satisfied.

Chinese soufflé buns with braided buns
This is my first time trying the Zhongzhong recipe. Eggs should not be placed in the Zhongzhong dough, but fortunately it has no effect on the fermentation. The bread rises very quickly when baked and becomes chubby. It feels extra soft after being baked. Because the amount of sugar is relatively large, the bread is easy to color, and it is over-colored if you are not careful! I was originally going to use chopped cherry tomatoes as a surface decoration, but I didn’t think it looked good, so I quickly made soufflé cubes. It was my first time to make soufflé granules, and I had no experience. The particle sizes were uneven, but the taste was quite good and the milky aroma was very strong. Last time I made a braid, I did one of the steps the wrong way, which made the shape of the braid look very awkward. Today I did it again according to the correct method, and it turned out to be better than last time! The two finished breads with dried cherry tomatoes sprinkled on the surface are also quite cute. The color looks very festive, which is in keeping with the Chinese New Year! This may be the last bread I made years ago, and I have to prepare for the Chinese New Year. I suddenly want to eat bean paste buns, so I decided to steam a pot of bean paste buns and eat them in a few days. I wonder what steamed buns everyone makes during the Chinese New Year? My family only steams some meat and vegetarian steamed buns. However, the meat buns only have a small part and they don’t feel as delicious as the vegetarian ones. There are many vegetarian ones. The fillings are specified by my mother and I. They are stuffed with mushrooms, tofu, carrots, vermicelli, and black cabbage. They are delicious. By the way, don’t you know what black vegetables are? It's white radish leaves. Blanched and dried radish leaves are really good for making steamed buns. We steam buns with this stuffing every year. It’s Chinese New Year and everyone is busy. Custard Twist Bread
This was my first time making custard bread, and it certainly lived up to its reputation. It was very soft. The dough this time was very soft, so I had to use hand flour when shaping it, otherwise it would be very sticky. The amount of milk is a bit too much, so it should be reduced by 10-15 grams, because the custard sauce contains a lot of water. Therefore, the amount of liquid in the dough must be added slowly. I didn’t think carefully this time! Today I consecrated the newly purchased Sanneng golden non-stick baking pan. As expected, it is really non-stick and very easy to use. This twisted bread turned out a little chubby when I made it. Next time I make it, just use 240 grams of flour. I found that I really like making shaped buns now, it’s very interesting~~

Honey bean toast
I have only used a bread machine to bake bread once, and this is the second time. I am not very skilled at all. The bottom is too heavily colored and the crust is a bit thick. These are all shortcomings. I made the honey red beans myself. One box of 350ml fresh-keeping box is not enough. When I rolled it, it felt quite a lot, and the roll was not too tight. I was worried that there would be a lot of holes in it. I didn’t dare to rub it after rolling it, for fear of breaking the skin. As a result, except for the heavy color at the bottom and thick skin, the tissue was okay and there were not many holes as expected. Every time you take a bite, there are many sweet beans in your mouth, which are sweet and chewy! It was still baked the night before, and when I took pictures the next day, the skin was a little wrinkled.
