Sugar cake
Overview
Sugar cake is a traditional snack. It used to be seen everywhere in street breakfast shops, but now it is rare. I remember when I was a child, my mother learned it from the neighbor next door. I thought it was delicious at the time. I stood by the pot and watched my mother take it out of the pot and couldn't wait to put it into my mouth. As you can imagine, the melted sugar liquid caused big bubbles at the corners of your mouth. Even so, I still stayed by the pot, blowing and eating. Now that I am also a mother, many things from childhood have gradually faded out of sight. In order for my children to eat with confidence, I think about various ingredients and make them in different ways. Today I will share with you the taste of my childhood.

Ingredients
Steps
-
Add 200g of flour to 10g of white sugar and stir evenly. Slowly add boiling water and stir until it becomes fluffy. Leave to cool.
-
Let cool and knead into a smooth dough for about 20 minutes.
-
Chop brown sugar cubes. (The red date brown sugar I used has red date particles in it)
-
Divide the dough into small portions.
-
Take one and flatten it with your hands, and put an appropriate amount of brown sugar in the middle.
-
Wrap tightly and press into a round cake shape. Make all the cake bases in sequence.
-
Heat oil in a pot. When the chopsticks are put in and there are bubbles around them, the oil will be hot enough. Put in the cake dough and fry over medium heat until the middle bulges and both sides are golden and take it out.
