Colorful Taro Ball Fruit

Colorful Taro Ball Fruit

Overview

Taro balls originate from Taiwan but are particularly popular in mainland China. They can be found in ordinary milk tea shops and various dessert shops. In particular, one store’s 231 bowls of taro balls only have a few balls, but many people still like to eat them! I love it too! Even when drinking milk tea, I always order taro ball milk tea😊😊But! But! The outside of the taro balls is too sweet~ I don’t like overly sweet desserts🙄🙄, so I decided to make my own. I have specially bought taro flour to make it, and I think it has the same texture as this one made with tapioca flour. I also made it with sweet potato flour, but the texture is still not as elastic as tapioca~ Well, everyone has their own preferences for radish and greens, this is my favorite recipe to share~☀️

Steps

  1. Steam the sweet potato slices until they are hot. Add sugar. When the sugar melts, add tapioca flour and work together to form a ball (the ratio of sweet potato to tapioca flour is almost one to one)

  2. Just make the dough as smooth as this. If it’s too dry, the dough will fall apart. If it’s too wet, the dough will collapse and lose its shape~

  3. Following this method, I also made purple sweet potato and taro ones, as well as sweet potato and taro ones with a slightly pink color~😝A girl’s heart is always there. Hahaha

  6. After the finished taro balls are cooked, you should immediately take them out and put them into ice water. (Cold water is also fine, but ice water is better and will make the taro balls taste better☺️)

  10. Oh yes! If you have more than you can eat, you can cut it and sprinkle some flour to prevent the taro balls from sticking together, then put them in the refrigerator and freeze them the next time you want to eat them, then take them out and cook them. 👈👈👈Like the picture Jiang Zi
