Ingredients required: peanuts, fennel, pepper, star anise, thirteen spices, salt.

Wash the peanuts.

Pour cold water into pot.

Add star anise and peppercorns.

Add thirteen incense.

Add twice as much salt as you normally would for cooking.

Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium to low heat and simmer for 30 minutes. After cooking, soak until the flavor is absorbed.

Cut fennel into sections.
