Black sesame milk steamed buns
Overview
On a rainy day, I had nothing to do at home on the weekend, so I started tinkering with food. The brown sugar steamed buns I made last time had been emptied, so I decided to use a small jar of freshly squeezed black sesame paste bought in the market to make some steamed buns for breakfast next week. I didn’t want to eat out during my pregnancy, so I had to make it myself. Black sesame seeds are very good for pregnant mothers~

Steps
-
I didn’t take the previous photos, but the specific method is to boil the milk powder with warm water of about 40 degrees, add yeast, dissolve it, put it into the flour, and sprinkle a handful of black sesame seeds into it. Wrap the smooth dough in plastic wrap and leave it in a warm place to ferment for an hour or two
-
Because I ordered fresh milk, I usually don’t drink milk powder and can’t waste it, so I added two small packets
-
This is black sesame paste bought in the market. There is some oil in it. Scoop out two spoons and set aside. You can also make it yourself (crush the fried black sesame seeds in a blender)
-
Add glucose powder to black sesame paste and stir. There is no glucose available at home, so I added glucose. You can also use white sugar. You can adjust the sweetness yourself
-
Divide the dough into two parts and roll into dough
-
Sprinkle a little water on the dough, spread sesame powder, and compact
-
Roll up the dough, roll it into a long strip, and squeeze out the air. This step is very difficult to squeeze, so I folded it in half again, so there are two rolls. Then cut into small pieces and wait for ten minutes to ferment again
-
After fermentation, put it in cold water and steam for 20 minutes
-
After steaming, turn off the heat and simmer for 2 minutes before opening the lid

Thump thump thump~ delicious food is out! It has a light milky aroma and a strong black sesame aroma, and you can also eat sesame granules, which is delicious~
