Soft, glutinous and sweet---glutinous rice and dates
Overview
I like this dish not only because of the high nutritional value of red dates, but also because of its sensational name. This is indeed the case. After taking a bite, the taste buds on the tongue first come into contact with the sweetness of red dates. After chewing slowly, the softness of the glutinous rice gradually blends into the unique sweetness of the red dates, creating another smooth and tender taste.

-
Wash the hollow dates, soak them for 1 hour, remove and drain.

Cut the red dates from one side with kitchen scissors and set aside.
-
Slowly add hot water to the glutinous rice flour and stir with chopsticks to form a fluffy consistency.
-
Knead slowly into a medium soft dough.
-
Take an appropriate amount of dough according to the size of the dates, roll it into a date core shape, embed it in the red dates, and knead it gently.
-
Put the pot on the fire, add rock sugar, glutinous rice and dates, pour in an appropriate amount of water, and cook over medium-low heat for 15-20 minutes.
-
Cook until the red dates are crystal clear and plump, turn off the heat and cool, then add sugared osmanthus and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
