Wash and drain the kelp and cut into sections for later use

Peel and cut potatoes into strips and set aside

Boil a pot of water

Add onion, ginger and carrot shreds, then add kelp shreds

Boil the pot for about ten minutes, add the potato strips and bring to a boil, then turn to low heat and simmer!

Add salt and chicken essence to taste after about 15 minutes! Turn off the heat and sprinkle with coriander and sesame oil!
