Triangular rice dumpling
Overview
Before the Dragon Boat Festival, Baby W suddenly told me that he wanted to eat rice dumplings, and he wanted rice dumplings with nothing added. After I made it, I wanted to post it before the Dragon Boat Festival, but I scheduled it. I don’t know why my phone kept failing to upload it, so I saved it in my phone. I didn’t want to post it, but then I looked at it and found that most of the rice dumplings on the Internet are wrapped in green leaves, so I might as well post it for everyone to share. This is my first time making rice dumplings and my first time posting a recipe, so please bear with me. And I really want to ask, apart from the different display methods, what is the difference between recipes and logs? When I was a child, my mother used to make these rice dumplings, which were all made of white rice. Later, when I got a larger supermarket, I realized that rice dumplings can come in so many flavors, and the rice dumpling leaves we use here are different from those on the Internet. I think these rice dumpling leaves look like the leaves on the outside of bamboo shoots (I don’t know if this is correct, please let me know if it’s not correct)

Wash the glutinous rice four or five hours in advance and soak it in water. I soaked it in the morning and wrapped it in the afternoon. But when I got home later, I saw that my mother had wrapped it directly without soaking it, and it seemed to be fine

Boil the rice dumpling leaves in a pot and soak them in water

The rice dumpling leaves are rolled into a funnel shape

You can add some raw red beans or honey red beans or bean paste

Add raisins

Fill up the rice

Fold off the upper leaves

Continue folding until the long part is wrapped tightly around the rice

Tie it tightly with cotton thread

Wrap it all up and cook it in the pressure cooker. When adding water, be sure to cover the rice dumplings, otherwise the rice that is not exposed to the water will be dry and not tasty. If you can’t cook it in one pot, you can divide it into several pots
