Add baking soda to boiling water and stir evenly, add walnut kernels and soak for about 3-5 minutes.

Rinse the soaked peach kernels with clean water, drain the water, and bake in a preheated oven at 150 degrees for about 12 minutes. Observe flipping several times in between.

Let the roasted walnuts cool and set aside.
