Red Dates, Longan and Tremella Soup
Overview
Nourish the blood and nourish the heart. Tremella can clear away heat from the lungs, benefit the spleen and stomach, and moisturize the skin; longan can invigorate the spleen and appetite, nourish blood and heart, calm the mind and improve intelligence; red dates are sweet and warm in nature, enter the spleen and stomach meridian, and have the effects of tonifying Qi, nourishing blood and calming the mind. I generally don’t like to add sugar to sugar water. Since it is to replenish blood, how about some brown sugar? Use less. Red dates and longan are inherently sweet, and the soup will also have its own sweetness without adding sugar. . . . After using a rice cooker, the white fungus didn't seem to be melted enough, but it was still relatively soft. . . .
