Dice tofu and set aside.

Cut dry red pepper into sections and dice cucumber.

Put light soy sauce, cooking wine, balsamic vinegar, sugar, and starch into a bowl and mix well to make a sauce. Set aside. Finely mince onion, ginger and garlic.

Fry the diced tofu in a pan over medium heat until golden brown, drain and set aside.

Leave some oil in the pot, add Sichuan peppercorns and fry until fragrant. Remove and add onions, ginger, garlic, and dried red peppers to stir-fry until fragrant.

Add the chopped Pixian bean paste and stir-fry until red oil is produced, pour in the sauce and cook until thick.

Pour in the fried tofu and diced cucumber and stir-fry quickly evenly.

Finally, add fried peanuts and green onions and stir-fry evenly.
