Ingredients
Steps
-
All ingredients are weighed.
-
Put the cornstarch into a larger bowl, add 1/3 of the milk and mix well.
-
Pour the remaining milk into the pot, add coconut milk and rock sugar, heat over low heat and stir occasionally until it boils (if the rock sugar cubes are not completely melted, turn off the heat and simmer for a few minutes, the rock sugar will melt).
-
After the rock sugar has melted, turn on low heat, stir the previously mixed milk cornstarch solution evenly again, pour it into the pot, and stir while pouring (always stir in one direction)
-
The liquid gradually begins to gelatinize, and part of it begins to appear like small dough bumps. Continue stirring rapidly until all the liquid turns into a thick paste. Turn off the heat and continue stirring in one direction with the remaining heat to make the milk paste as uniform and delicate as possible.
-
Prepare a container in advance and put a layer of coconut on the bottom.
-
Pour the milk paste into the container, shake it a few times to smooth the surface, let it cool, cover it, and put it in the refrigerator for 4 hours (or overnight)
-
Use a knife to score a circle around the container and turn it upside down to release it from the mold.
-
Cut into the size pieces you like.
-
Roll it in coconut milk once.
-
Serve on a platter.
